At the Microsoft Ignite 2019 in Orlando, Microsoft announced the new Yammer experience.
(rolling out in 2020).
Yammer is for communities, knowledge and management. Common scenario’s for Yammer include:
– Engaging leaders and employees
– Company-wide communications
– Knowledge sharing and learning (communities of practice)
– Employee experience and campaigns
The new Yammer is rebuilt from the ground-up, with dozens of new features and integrations that empower people to connect and share knowledge across the organization with open conversation backed by enterprise-grade privacy, security, and compliance.

I created – in cooperation with the Microsoft Team product group – an infographic what tells the highlight of the new Yammer.
The new Yammer arrives-on the web, in SharePoint, in Outlook and in Teams – over the first half of 2020. New design and functionality have already started coming to Yammer on iOS and Android, and the new Yammer will continue to come to mobile through the first half of 2020.
